Antiquarium

This installation culminated from a month residency at RAAM103 in Ghent, Belgium in April 2023.  RAAM103 (literally Window103) is a micro-residency where the artist develops a project within and informed by the space.  One wall is a street-level window,  allowing the community to observe and participate.

Continuing my “Morphing Technology” Series, I drew obsolete or broken electronic cables, transforming them into sea creatures depicted in art and architecture around Ghent. The combination questions how old things are valued: trash or antique. Antiquarium also playfully imagines a new life for e-waste.
